Reviewing the quantitative research
23rd November
Hello and welcome to the fourth issue of the Clean Sport Alliance newsletter!
We are only 15 days away from our 2nd Clean Sport Insight Forum. We are therefore excited to outline the planned sessions and share another video output, produced by Dr Ian Boardley, from our RESPECT EU Erasmus+ Collaborative Partnership project. The video outlines the findings of our review of 149 published quantitative research studies relevant to anti-doping and clean sport.
Housed on our Clean Sport Knowledge Exchange Platform (www.cleansportalliance.org) the Clean Sport Insight Forum agenda includes links to content released in the build-up to the event. If you haven't done so already, we hope you will watch the videos before we come together and send us any questions prompted by the content.
To make it as easy as possible to access the Clean Sport Insight Forum, we are going to be using a user-friendly (we hope!) streaming platform and a link to access the platform will be shared with you shortly.
The fifth issue of our newsletter will arrive in your inbox on Monday 30th November. In this issue we will share the biographies of our speakers and a video of the Clean Sport Plan 2030. This plan identifies the 8 most important topic areas for social science research on doping prevention, as identified through multiple rounds of questionnaires sent to experts in the clean sport community.

Reviewing the quantitative research on anti-doping and clean sport
Dr Ian Boardley (University of Birmingham) outlines the findings of a review of 149 published quantitative research studies relevant to anti-doping and clean sport. Together with the synthesis of published qualitative research studies, we have summarised the evidence-base to help ADO's develop their education plans.

Athlete Voices
In 2019, we invited numerous international athletes to voice their thoughts and opinions on clean sport and anti-doping. In their own words they told us about the challenges of competing as clean athletes. This collaborative and participatory process led to the creation of the Athlete Voices video series.
